在2023年,台灣可回收955公噸的再生纖維,其中佔99%是再生聚酯纖維,例如:寶特瓶,剩下不到1%則是生物基聚酯纖維,例如:玉米、香蕉絲、鳳梨葉。
在這個追求永續環保的時代,優織隆一直積極推動鳳梨葉纖維(PALF),盼能讓農廢成金。因為鳳梨葉,必須由人工一片片採集、挑選,刨絲取纖,導致果園投入的意願極低。為了穩定原料來源,屏東九如鄉農會和高雄鳳梨果農,開發5年,打造全台第一台自動化取纖機,減低人力成本、獲取乾淨纖維,邁出綠色循環經濟的一大里程碑。
